Convergence 7 Set
This set was meant to be played at Convergence 7 in New York, August 2001.
During the time leading up to the festival it was indicated to me that I would
be likely to perform at it, so in the face of no formal confirmation, and with
the previous performances behind me, I began to work on a good mix.
As it happened, I wasn't asked to perform at Convergence 7, I was told a few weeks
before the event. I'd already done much of the work so decided to complete the
mix anyway. And to release it here, in a sort of "Look at what you could have won"
token gesture. ;)
I was tentatively asked by the C7 Rescue team to play at their saturday night
event, though spending £500 for the privilege and then not attending C7 due to
their ticketing problems, meant I wasn't able to do so. The set was in fact
played live for the first (and only?) time at The Calling,
in Cambridge, England, to a great reception. Thank you to everyone for making that
a great night.
Who knows, might see you for Convergence 8...
